PT Billing Services was founded in September 1996 by Carolyn Yodonise as Harford Automated Business Services (HABS). In July of 2007, HABS incorporated as PT Billing Services, LLC as the business expanded.
In August 2011 John Yodonise joined the company on a full time basis. Previously John worked part time for the company providing computer and accounting support.
PT Billing Services became a true family company when son Charles joined the company in October 2016 as a medical billing specialist.
The main focus of PT Billing Services is Physical Therapy billing (PT), Occupational Therapy billing (OT), and Speech-Language Pathology billing (SLP). Over the years, therapy billing has grown to be a specialized niche in medical billing because of all the special rules and exceptions that are applied to therapists by the insurance companies.

Carolyn Bednar-Yodonise
Owner and Billing SpecialistCarolyn has over 28 years of medical billing experience and has taught Electronic Medical Billing and Medical Billing Basics courses on the Community College level. She has attended numerous Medical Billing, APTA, MGMA, and Workers Comp meetings and seminars. Carolyn also took part in the HITECH Grant Training Program for Electronic Health Records. Carolyn founded the company in September 1996 and the company has grown steadily ever since. Carolyn enjoys sewing and quilting in her spare time.
John Yodonise
IT Manager and Billing SpecialistJohn has over 40 years of IT and computer experience. He received his B.S. in Computer Science from Loyola University in Maryland. John completed the HITECH Grant Training Program and received a certificate for EHR IT Specialist. John has worked in the back office of PT Billing Services since it’s inception providing support for the computer network, phone system, accounting, and payroll systems. John is a former member of the Maryland Medical Group Management Association where he served on the Education Committee as the lead person for the webinar series and received the 2015 Maryland MGMA Outstanding Service Award. John enjoys fishing in his spare time and spending time with his granddaughter Morgan.
Charles Yodonise
Billing SpecialistCharles has over 8 years of medical billing experience working with PT Billing Services. He graduated from Winters Mills High School and passed an electronic medical billing course at Harford Community College. He is an avid video game enthusiast and enjoys spending time with his wife Lexie and their pets Mochi and Jewel.
